eam Ollie is a mid-distance sled dog racing kennel focused on the AKC-registered siberian husky. The kennel is located in Winchendon, MA, in the Monadnock Valley region, where the sun shines and the dogs wake us up at five in the morning.

A few years ago, we were entering mid-distance races such as the 100 Mile Wilderness Race, Can-Am 250 and Race to the Sky. We spent the past two years raising a crop of young dogs and racing in much shorter venues. Now the batch is ripe to take to mid-distance races, and I can finally scratch that racing itch.

This season will mark the retirement of our bulletproof older dogs as a new generation of home-grown athletes take their places. We have no doubt that they'll fill their booties and then some. It's been an incredible learning experience raising this crop, and we're really looking forward to seeing what they can do.

So with a big grin, a small wallet, and a can of Copenhagen, we embark on the most exciting season for this kennel to date. The feed shed is full, the equipment is in order, and the dogs are chomping at the bit.
